What is Extension?

Extension is a service provided by land-grant universities to meet the needs of industry by providing information, education and research results. The delivery mechanism of Extension is through a number of media and venues, including publications, newsletters, websites, online programs, field days , on-farm research and workshops.

OSU Viticulture and Enology Extension Programs serve grape growers and winemakers throughout Oregon. Our Extension Programs provide education and outreach intended to help the wine industry produce a high quality product while using the most sustainable practices. Our Programs help the wine industry solve problems, develop new ideas, and share information.
